Diabetes Education - Lunch & Learn

If you or a loved one have been diagnosed with Diabetes, Pre-diabetes or at risk for developing Diabetes, and want to learn more, you are invited to register for our free Diabetes Education Lunch & Learn event.

The event will begin with a Diabetes Health Fair segment, where attendees will have the opportunity to visit tables to gather information on the following topics:

Reducing Risks                                                     Being Active

Healthy Eating                                                       Monitoring

Taking Medication                                                 Problem Solving

Healthy Coping                                                     Pre-diabetes/Diabetes Prevention

At the conclusion of the health fair, Dr. Nawras Makhsida, Endocrinologist will provide an informative presentation on the causes of diabetes, how to prevent or delay the onset of diabetes and how to live a healthy life after you have been diagnosed.

Each Mercy Lunch & Learn event focuses on a specific health topic and is free to the community and co-workers. Lunch is provided for all registered attendees.
