Wound Care in Ada

Mercy Hospital in Ada, OK has a Hyperbaric and Wound Care team, which provides specialized treatment for hard-to-heal wounds related to a variety of conditions, including:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Arterial insufficiency (decreased blood flow or lack of blood flow through your arteries)
  • Venous stasis (loss of proper function of the veins in the legs)
  • Radiation therapy wounds
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Non-healing surgical or complicated wounds

Our wound care team uses hyperbaric oxygen therapy to heal wounds and fight infection. During this therapy, a patient breathes pure oxygen for a short time while cradled in a special pressurized chamber. This allows greater amounts of oxygen to be dissolved in the bloodstream and carried to body tissues in amounts large enough to improve healing. There is no discomfort. Patients can rest, watch TV or sleep while they receive this care.

For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call the Hyperbarics and Wound Care Center at Mercy Hospital Ada at 580-272-1731. No physician referral is necessary.
