Diabetes program meets highest standards
The American Diabetes Association recently recertified St. John’s diabetic self-management education program for meeting its national standards for providing quality diabetes education to patients. To earn this distinction, St. John’s has met the National Standards for Diabetes Self Management Education. Many aspects of the program are reviewed to ensure that specific topics are included in the curriculum, credentialed educators lead the program and that continuing education is a priority for the staff.
