Heart Care

Mercy serves Aurora with nationally-certified heart disease care and treatment programs for patients with coronary and/or pulmonary disease. Our teams of cardiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiovascular surgeons work together to treat you for the best possible outcome.

• Mercy brings a board-certified cardiologist to Aurora once each week. You can visit with this coronary heart disease specialist, who’ll coordinate with your primary care physician so you can get the care you need without going far.
• Our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program helps restore and maintain each patient’s optimal physical, social and psychological abilities. A physician referral is required for this program.
• Mercy Hospital – Aurora connects you to Mercy in Springfield, where experts from Mercy Heart Institute and the Valve Clinic work with primary physicians to deliver advanced heart disease treatment therapies. Patients receive everything from specialized treatments and consultations to transplant referrals.
