Diabetes Care

Mercy’s experienced diabetes educators and dieticians give you the tools to manage your disease. Our diabetic treatment center’s goal is to help you control diabetes, instead of having it control you.

We offer a well-rounded program of education and medical nutrition therapy.

• Our program is nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance carriers will cover this program for patients who qualify.
• We offer a comprehensive, ADA-recognized Diabetes Education program on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
• The outpatient Foot Clinic helps keep your feet in good health.  The Foot Clinic is staffed with registered nurses who specialize in foot care.
• A diabetes support group meets the third Friday of each month at 2 p.m. in Conference Room B. Call 417-847-6000 for information.
