Mercy Health Center has been operated by the Sisters of Mercy
since 1886. The hospital operates 68 acute care beds, 23 swing beds and serves
parts of southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri. Two rural health clinics were
opened in 1991 to provide health service access in underserved areas. Mercy
Health Center has 569 full-time equivalent employees.
