This outreach SSU was established as a new expression of the Sisters of Mercy’s longstanding commitment to respond to the needs of the Laredo community, following the sale of Mercy Health Center. Primary healthcare, healthcare education, advocacy, and social services are important components of Mercy’s mission to serve people in need.

Primary Health Care Services
This outpatient program provides culturally sensitive services from its clinic location and 13 other sites throughout the Laredo community.

Established in 1998, this domestic violence shelter and education center provide comprehensive services to abused women and their children.

Mercy Casita
This nutrition assistance program is staffed entirely by volunteers and provides a weekly allotment of food to families in need.
