Stop for a moment and think what Fort Smith would look like in terms of health care without St. Edward Mercy Medical Center – not very good. Walking the hallways of Mercy, you will find a diverse group of patients. You might see a young couple welcoming their first baby into the world or a woman receiving chemotherapy to fight cancer.
