St. Joseph’s Mercy’s Emergency Department physicians are board-certified or board-prepared in emergency medicine.

• A triage nurse helps expedite ED care, moving patients into the emergency department or out to cardiac or trauma rooms as necessary.
• Mercy’s 31-bed ED includes state-of-the-art equipment and specialized rooms for cardiac, trauma, OB/GYN, pediatric, ENT (ear, nose, and throat) and orthopedics.
