St. John’s Achieves Measures in CMS Demonstration Project
For the second year in a row, St. John's Health System in Springfield, Missouri, reached performance goals on all 27 quality measures for patients with diabetes, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure as part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Physician Group Practice Demonstration project. St. John’s was one of only five physician groups to achieve benchmark quality performance (100%) on all quality measures.
St. Louis Cancer Center Receives Special Designation
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri recently named the David C. Pratt Cancer Center on the campus of St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare CancersSM , focusing on complex inpatient and surgical care. Blue Distinction is a designation awarded to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering high quality healthcare. To date, only 85 Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare CancersSM have been named across the country. The David C. Pratt Cancer Center is one of only two in the state of Missouri.
