Diabetes Care

Mercy’s experienced diabetes educators and dieticians give you the tools to manage your disease. Our goal is to help you control diabetes, instead of having it control you.

We offer a well-rounded program of diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy.

• Our diabetes care and treatment program is nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance carriers will cover this program for patients who qualify.
• We offer a comprehensive, ADA-recognized Diabetes Education program on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
• The Outpatient Foot Clinic at Mercy helps individuals keep their feet in good health.  The Foot Clinic is staffed with registered nurses who specialize in foot care. 
• Outpatient Diabetes Education group meetings are held at Mercy Hospital. The program includes four two-hour sessions that are facilitated by a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) from Mercy.
