Mercy Clinic is pleased to welcome 13 board-certified surgeons who provide care for a variety of surgical needs. Formerly West County Surgical Specialists and St. Louis Vascular Center, the new practices are Mercy Clinic Surgical Specialists and Mercy Clinic Vascular Specialists.

Mercy Clinic Surgical Specialists is made up of nine doctors with specialties including general, breast, colorectal, endocrine and oncologic surgery. Physicians are: H. Martin Altepeter, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; Gregory W. Brabbee, MD FACS, general surgery, colon and rectal; Kathryn L. Galie, MD, FACS, general surgery, colon and rectal; Lindy A. Hruska, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; Joseph J. Hurley, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; David J. Meiners, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; Ryan L. Neff, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; Susan H. Westfall, MD, FACS, general surgery, breast care; and Philip L. Robbins, MD, FACS, general surgery, colon and rectal. The practice is located at 621 S. New Ballas Rd., Ste. 7011B, on the Mercy Hospital St. Louis campus.

Mercy Clinic Vascular Specialists is made up of four surgeons offering vascular care that includes high tech, minimally invasive percutaneous procedures such as aortic stent grafts. Physicians include: Ketan Desai, MD, FACS; Vito A. Mantese, MD, FACS; Richard C. Pennell, MD, FACS; and Scott G. Westfall, MD, FACS. The practice is located in Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital at 625 S. New Ballas Rd., Ste. 7063.
