Washington, Mo. – If you’re finally thinking about throwing away your 1980s tiger-print spandex pants, think again. They could be used to raise money for the hospital at the auxiliary’s annual garage sale.
The garage sale gives people a reason to clean out their closets, basements and garages and also purchase great items at bargain prices while raising money for patient care.
The community may deliver items to be sold at the garage sale after 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the American Legion Memorial Home, 1007 W. Third St. in Washington.
The garage sale is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 11, and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the American Legion.
“Now’s the time for spring cleaning,” said Carol Maune, Auxiliary president. “Look through your house for things you don’t need or want but others would find useful, and donate them. You can feel good about the donation it because all the money raised at the event goes toward helping others.”
The Mercy Auxiliary is proud to support the Hospital in its mission to provide quality health care services to the communities it serves.
Donations for the garage sale should be delivered to the American Legion after 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10. Arrangements may be made to deliver prior to the event by calling 636-239-8044. For more information, call 636-239-8044.
