Patients pick Mercy Hospital Springfield for quality care

When researchers from the largest patient satisfaction firm in the nation asked local patients who they choose for quality health care, Mercy Hospital Springfield topped the list. That’s why it’s been named a Consumer Choice Award recipient for the tenth year in a row.

Researchers from National Research Corporation, the largest consumer survey on health care in the U.S., asked Springfield consumers which local hospital they liked best, specifically asking about overall quality, image and reputation, and quality of doctors and nurses.

“This award is so important to us because it comes from the people we serve and is a direct result of the care they’ve received,” said Jon Swope, Mercy Central Region president and interim president of Mercy Hospital Springfield. “This means when they or their family members need care the most, they are confident we will deliver.”

National Research surveys more than 290,000 households in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia.

“This year’s winners have done an exceptional job of representing their organizations in terms of high-quality care, improvement initiatives and positive consumer perceptions and experiences,” said Brian Wynne, vice president of Sales at National Research.
