Many YMCA’s across the United States participate in the AWAY program. When traveling, the AWAY program allows you to visit another YMCA on a short-term basis, some free and some at a reduced guest pass charge. Just show your YMCA membership card. For long-term membership privileges, please join the YMCA that you plan on attending the most.
We encourage our members to introduce their friends to the YMCA. Your first visit to the YMCA is always FREE! Members, 18 years and older, may bring a guest under the following guidelines:
The Northwest Arkansas Family YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Our programs and services are available to anyone regardless of ability to pay. People of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes need assistance at different times in their lives; anyone may apply for financial assistance. If the Y can serve you or your family in this way, please pick-up and complete a financial assistance application.
The YMCA counts on our members and generous donors to help children and families who may otherwise not be able to participate in programs like camp and preschool. With donations, the Northwest Arkansas Family YMCA is able to provide children with life-enriching activities and programs that may not exist for them otherwise. Our lives are measured by the lives we touch.
The YMCA is made up of volunteers who work in all different areas. Coaches, baby rockers, wellness coaches, fitness center attendants, piano teachers or member services are just a few of the areas. Becoming a YMCA volunteer means you are a part of the YMCA family. There are many different opportunities for volunteering. For more information on how you can help, please call 479-717-2460.
The Northwest Arkansas Family YMCA Preschool will be opening its doors very soon for ages 2-5. Starting January 2012, spaces will be available for children to go into classrooms with trained teachers for the best learning and growing experience.
Children will learn numbers, letters, participate in arts and crafts and develop basic self-help skills to make the transition from Preschool to Kindergarten smooth for both you and your child.
Contact our Youth and Family Program Director at 479-717-2460 to get more information.
Child watch is a member service that is available to watch children ages 6 weeks to 7 years while parents use the YMCA facility, up to 2 hours at a time.
