Mercy Bariatric Center was established in May 2011.  The center is the only Mercy weight loss surgery facility serving East Missouri. We offer a comprehensive team approach for each patient. The services of dietitians, psychiatrists, specialized nurses and physicians working together helps patients achieve success with weight loss goals.

Our Doctor

Lisa Martin Hawver MD, FACS, is the Medical Director of Mercy Bariatric Center.  She is a board certified general surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.  She was previously Assistant Professor of Surgery, University of Cincinnati (2007-2011) and Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at The Christ Hospital in Ohio.
