10th Annual Mardi Gras Masquerade

Mercy Health Foundation’s Annual Mardi Gras
Masquerade raises money for charity care.

Mercy Health Foundation’s 10th annual Mardi Gras Masquerade raised nearly $735,000 for charity care initiatives, including Mercy JFK Clinic and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. This year, proceeds will help integrate preventive adult and pediatric dental services at the JFK Clinic, which provides health care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

More than 700 guests celebrated Mardi Gras at the New Orleans-themed gala March 1 at The Chase Park  Plaza. The evening honored event co-chairs Peggy Ritter and Marsha Rusnack and included a look back at a decade of Mercy masquerades. Guests enjoyed a surprise performance by St. Louis native Jeremy Davenport, the house act at The Ritz New Orleans.

Guests also danced the night away to Fat Pocket on the main stage and at Pat Purnell’s Dueling Piano Bar, named for presenting sponsors Pat and Jack Purnell.

Other lead sponsors included Centene Charitable Foundation and McCarthy Building Companies.
