CAP (Change
Acceleration Process)
CAP is a change management strategy and set of tools that ensures effectiveness
of change through cultural acceptance. Components of the CAP process include
leading change, creating a shared need, shaping a vision, mobilizing commitment,
making change last, monitoring process, and changing systems and structures
to ensure a process can successfully accept and move from its current

Work-Out™
Work-Out™ is a method of focused, rapid decision making that involves
a team meeting with all key stakeholders of a particular issue or process
working toward a solution in a short time frame. Work-Out™
is a planned event (for example, a one-day session) where team members
come to the session with all of the pertinent data, process maps, and
information to discuss the issues and develop recommendations. At the
end of the session, the team presents its recommendations to a project
sponsor who makes a decision whether to accept and implement the recommendation
of the team. (back to top)
Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a methodology that focuses on improving quality within a
specific process by determining the causes of variation in the process,
and figuring out how to reduce the number of defects and variations. Six
Sigma projects are long term and data driven. It uses a systematic five-step
process called DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). A summary
of Six Sigma steps include defining the goal for the project, measuring
the process through process maps and baseline data, analyzing and statistically
assessing the problem, improving the process by developing solutions and
an implementation plan, and controlling the process through consistent
monitoring. (back to top)
