Trauma and Burn Care in Springfield

Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO treats severe traumas around the clock in one of the state’s most advanced, and most active, trauma centers. Mercy is a Missouri and Arkansas designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center.

And Mercy is committed to providing access to rapid critical trauma and burn care throughout the community. With 62 EMS ground units and four helicopter sites strategically located across the region, we’re able to quickly reach patients in 12 counties over Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas.

  • When patients arrive, a complete Mercy burn/trauma team, from trauma surgeons to registered nurses and burn technicians, will be standing by to help.
  • To reduce healing time for skin grafts in burn patients, Mercy Medical Research Institute pioneered and developed the Silver/Nylon Wound Dressing.
  • Our Injury Prevention Center reaches over 80,000 people each year through educational programs such as car seat, bike and ATV safety in addition to a teen driving program focused on keeping your child safe.
