Mercy Children's Therapy and Development Center

Every child deserves the opportunity to reach his or her greatest potential. For children with developmental delays, getting there requires help from a supportive family and from caring health professionals who specialize in medical and developmental disorders.

At the Mercy Children’s Hospital Therapy and Development Center, your family will meet with experts who understand the causes of developmental delays and can intervene with therapies that enhance your child’s quality of life.

Our areas of specialization include:

  • Speech-language pathology
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Audiology
  • Feeding/swallowing services
  • Psychological/psychoeducational services
  • Relationship development assessment/Intervention
  • ADOS testing for autism spectrum disorders

The center also offers an Autism Intervention Preschool Program for children 18-42 months old with autism spectrum disorders. Staff members are specially trained to encourage students’ social, physical and behavioral development in a curriculum-appropriate classroom setting.

Specialists throughout the center understand that parents and siblings play a key role in a child’s development. So our therapies are designed to support the whole family. Together, we can help you create an environment that encourages your child’s progress and fosters greater participation in family life.

If your child has been referred to our center, please read our New Patient Information before your first visit.
