Mother and Baby Care

Mercy cares for the needs of women and their babies at St. Louis County’s premier childbirth center. We welcome more than 8,000 babies into the world each year, but our care begins with unsurpassed prenatal care and extends well into the weeks and months after you take your baby home.

• The private suites of our Childbirth Center are combined labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms. Each is designed to make your family completely comfortable during your entire stay.
• The Women’s & Children’s Education Department provides the area’s most comprehensive educational resources. Individual classes and full courses have been designed to help families prepare for childbirth, parenthood and even grandparenting.
• Drawing on 135 years as a leader in women’s health care, Mercy understands the needs of difficult pregnancies. Our “While You Are Waiting” program helps expectant mothers stay connected with their families even while on bedrest.
