More than 135 years ago, the Sisters of Mercy founded Mercy Hospital St. Louis with a commitment to women's health care. Today we continue their mission, providing expert women's care, advanced technologies and minimally invasive treatment options, all set in a comfortable and nurturing environment.
Mercy Clinic- Minimally Invasive Gynecology specializes in small or no-incision gynecologic surgery for hysterectomies and the treatment of many women-specific health concerns. Through the use of laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, the clinic’s patients experience significantly less discomfort and much quicker recoveries. Mercy's program is designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) by the AAGL, the leading association of minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons worldwide and the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). Richard J. Gimpelson, MD, David J. Levine, MD and Corey Wagner, MD, have been named COEMIG designees by the AAGL and the SRC. Read more about it in our Mercy newsroom.
Mercy recognizes that some women are seeking an un-medicated childbirth experience, so we are opening a new Mercy Birthing Center in late summer or early September of 2014 - the area's first in-hospital low-risk birthing ceter run by certifed nurse midwives. For more information, call 314-251-7955.
Mercy delivers comprehensive, compassionate, quality care that saves lives. The Mercy Breast Center is an American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited facility that provides a private, comfortable environment for digital mammography and breast ultrasound.
Mercy Hospital St. Louis was named one of the best regional hospitals in the state of Missouri by U.S. News & World Report in its Best Hospitals list and was recognized for high performance in eight adult specialty areas, including gynecology. Read more about this honor in our newsroom.
