Diabetes Care

Diabetes is a serious disease, but it can be successfully treated and managed. That’s why Mercy is not only committed to giving you the high-quality treatment you need, but also the educational programs to help keep you healthy and your diabetes under control.

  • Mercy’s diabetes education program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for meeting the National Standards for Diabetes Self-management Education. This ADA status means our staff provides the most effective and up-to-date diabetes care available.
  • Our outpatient diabetes education program meetings are offered in four two-hour sessions that are facilitated by one of Mercy’s Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE).
  • We offer a glucometer exchange program so patients can trade up to newer glucometers as needed. We also provide assistance to help purchase a glucometer for the first time.
