About Steve Cecil Walkup, PA

Care Philosophy I started my journey in science teaching at McGuinness High School, but I found my passion in medicine and became a PA. After 17 years in cardiology, I transitioned to pulmonology at Mercy. Building relationships with my patients, especially those I've known for years, is important to me. I strive for a connection where they feel like family, understanding their challenges and working together to find solutions. Seeing patients with significant diseases thrive over time brings me great satisfaction.
