Mercy Springfield Medical Explorer Post #339 is a youth health care career exploration program jointly sponsored by Mercy Hospital Springfield and the Boy Scouts of America Learning for Life program. The overall purpose of Medical Explorers is to provide worksite-based experiences for young men and women ages 15 through 20. Education through observation enables youth to make an informed career decision.
Information about the Mercy Medical Explorer program and enrollment process will be shared on September 10, 2019 at 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Hammons Heart Institute Auditorium at the end of the regular monthly business meeting. Medical Explorer candidates and parents are encouraged to attend this meeting for a program overview and to answer any questions about becoming a Mercy Medical Explorer.
Explorer candidates applying for the Fall 2019 session must attend the mandatory orientation on September 24, 2019 at 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Mercy Hospital Springfield in the Catherine McAuley Conference Center (located in the Main Hospital; South Entrance; first hallway to the right).
