President, Mercy Hospitals Springfield
David Argueta has 17 years of health care administrative experience. Prior to being named to his role at Mercy in Springfield, Argueta served as the chief administrative officer for five years at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. Before joining Mercy, he was at CHI St. Luke’s Health in Texas, where he served as president of three Catholic Healthcare Initiatives hospitals. He has also served as chief operating officer of CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in North Houston and was vice president of operations at Baylor Scott & White – Hillcrest in Waco, Texas.
Education and Credentials
Argueta is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned his bachelor’s degree in forensic science and chemistry and his master’s degree in business administration – healthcare administration from Baylor University.
