Fred McQueary, MD - President-Ambulatory Care & Chief Clinical Officer

Dr. Fred McQueary is the president of ambulatory care and chief clinical officer for Mercy. He has been with Mercy Clinic since its inception in 1993, serving in various leadership roles and practicing as an orthopedic surgeon. Prior to his current role, Dr. McQueary served as senior vice president of clinical integration and president of Mercy Clinic, North Central Communities.

Dr. McQueary earned his medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He holds a master’s degree in biology from Missouri State University, as well as a master’s degree in medical management from Tulane University School of Public Health. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals, and a clinical fellowship in arthritis and joint reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School.
