Keith Starke, MD, has been with Mercy since 1984. He started as an internal medicine physician in St. Louis, where he helped form a multi-specialty group of physicians that later became Mercy Clinic. From 1994 to 2004, Dr. Starke served as vice president of medical affairs and on the Board of Directors for the group.
Dr. Starke served as chairman of the department of medicine at Mercy Hospital St. Louis followed by chief quality officer for Mercy’s eastern Missouri region for five years. In 2014, he took the role of chief quality officer for the Mercy ministry with oversight across its four states. In 2020, Dr. Starke was named senior vice president and chief clinical officer for Mercy.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Starke is married with two grown children and six grandchildren. He attended St. Louis University School of Medicine, served as class president and won the Alumni Distinguished Student Award.
