Reta Baker has been president of Mercy Hospital Fort Scott since 2009. Prior to that, she was the chief operating officer for four years. She also served as vice president of operations for Mercy hospitals in Kansas and as vice president of Patient Care Services at Mercy Fort Scott. She began her career at Mercy as a staff nurse in 1981, followed by several years in nursing administration at Mercy Fort Scott.
Reta has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Mo., and a master’s in public healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She also holds an advanced certification in health care administration from the University of Minnesota.
Reta is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a board member for the Kansas Hospital Association.
