Berryville community members Wayne and Janet Clark have matched the St. John’s Auxiliary- Berryville’s community challenge by giving $25,000 to the hospital’s “Redesigning Healthcare…Room by Room” campaign.

“We are very appreciate of the services St. John’s have given us over the years and feel it is a great asset for this community,” says Wayne Clark.  “We feel fortunate we are able to give back,” adds Janet Clark.

“The Clarks have been strong supporters of St. John’s Hospital – Berryville for years.  With such giving hearts, Wayne and Janet have blessed many of our patients; we could not continue to provide the programs and services we do without them”, says Nicole Hoppel, Executive Director for St. John’s Foundation- Berryville. “We appreciate their continued investment in providing top quality health care in and around Carroll County.”

In May of 2010, the “Redesigning Healthcare… Room by Room” campaign launched with $25,000 gift from the hospital’s auxiliary. The auxiliary also pledge an additional $25,000 upon securing a $25,000 gift from an outside, separate entity. The Clark’s $25,000 means a gift of $50,000 for the campaign.

To date, St. John’s Foundation – Berryville has secured over $125,000 in cash and pledges towards this capital campaign.  “Marking the half way point is very exciting for St. John’s; we are eager to secure the remaining support and begin the renovations” says Hoppel.
