Mercy Names New Mission Services Vice President

Kathryn Abbey has been named Mercy Memorial Health Center’s vice president of mission services. Abbey came from Independence, Kansas, where she served as the vice president of mission services for Mercy Health System of Kansas for the last five years.

Abbey received her bachelor’s degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, and her master’s degree in pastoral care and counseling with an emphasis in mission leadership development for Catholic healthcare from Neumann University in Aston, Pa.

Prior to her time in Kansas, Abbey held several positions at Covenant Health Systems in Lubbock, Texas over 18 years. She served as the director of sponsorship, mission services coordinator, spiritual resources coordinator and women’s and children’s programs coordinator.
