Mercy Hospital Foundation has named Jason Huff to the position of Director of Development. Huff currently serves as interim Director of Development and campaign manager for the “Always Ready” capital campaign, which is dedicated to raising funds to expand the emergency department.
Huff joined Mercy in 2008 as the Corporate Relations Manager at Mercy Foundation in St. Louis. He began working with the Mercy Hospital Foundation in July 2009 to manage the Corporate Partners Council and assist with campaign efforts.
“Jason has been a tremendous asset to our community and is extremely engaged with our Board members, physicians and community leaders,” said Terri L. McLain, hospital president. “His passion for service and commitment to our region will have a strong impact on our patients and their families.”
Huff continues the work of the Foundation, which has already raised more than $2.5 million in support of the Always Ready campaign and strives to raise the remaining $1.2 million to finalize the project. Under Huff’s direction, the Foundation will simultaneously assist the McAuley Clinic, programs designed to increase community awareness about health issues, provide health care to the underserved and work related to the now thriving corporate partners program.
“Service to the community is central to the mission of Mercy Hospital,” said Debbie Door, president of Mercy Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. “I am excited to see what the future holds and know that Jason’s leadership will carry us forward in the right direction.”
Prior to joining Mercy, Huff served as Director of Development for Progressive Youth Connection in Crestwood, Mo., and for Aim High St. Louis. He earned his master of business administration and Bachelor’s Degree in business management from Webster University in St. Louis. Huff currently serves as a member of the Washington Rotary Club, as vice president of membership for the Greater St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is an advisory board member for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
The Mercy Hospital Foundation was formed in 2004 to support the mission of Mercy Hospital, an acute care hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical, obstetric and pediatric services. For more information about the Mercy Hospital Foundation call Huff at 636.239.8882.
