Jon Vitiello was named chief financial officer (CFO) of Mercy in Oklahoma.
Vitiello, who has been with Mercy for eight years, has been serving as CFO for Mercy’s Arkansas region, and as vice president of performance improvement for all of Mercy across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer and CFO for Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas.
Vitiello holds Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from St. Louis University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans.
“Jon will be able to use his considerable experience and financial leadership skills to help bring Oklahoma to its greatest potential,” said Di Smalley, president and CEO of Mercy in Oklahoma. “We know that Jon will be a very positive addition to the Oklahoma leadership team.”
Vitiello is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association. He begins his new role on February 1.
