Bella Vista Medical Center, part of the Mercy of Northwest Arkansas Health System, has been awarded the Level 3 National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Medical Home recognition.  BVMC is the first level 3 medical home within Mercy and the second in the state of Arkansas.

Drs. Mark Lee and Michael Sammer lead the medical home team at Bella Vista Medical Center. They are joined by two nurse practitioners, a physician assistant, case manager and care team coordinator.  Support services are also offered by the pastoral care team, which staffs the clinic with a chaplain every day as well as a clinical pharmacist and diabetes educator who spend one day a week at the clinic.

BVMC earned the medical home recognition through an application process that required them to have certain processes, protocols and policies in place as well as standardized tracking. They received an overall score of 95 out of 100 points.
