More than 400 people including patients, families and children of co-workers at Mercy Children’s Hospital participated in a carnival featuring a ring toss, syringe painting, bean bag toss, plush pig races and other fun games. Co-workers from the emergency department provided bike helmet fittings and free helmets, and all visitors could preview the new Mercy Children’s Hospital wrapped Abbott ambulance that is used by the NICU Transport Team.

The carnival was the mid-week celebration during “Benefit for the Kids” Week honoring the patients, families and caregivers who will benefit from the annual Mercy Foundation golf tournament and dinner auction.

Proceeds from the week’s events will benefit programs at Mercy Children’s Hospital including the Child Development Center, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit and pediatric oncology.
