Kansas grad, Dr. Jeremy Davis, returns to home state with Mercy Urology practice.
Edmond-born, KU-trained, and now Mercy-bound Urologist, Jeremy Davis, M.D., has returned to the Sooner state, bringing his laparoscopic and robotic surgery skills to his new position at Mercy Urology.
“I knew Mercy's reputation in the community as a well-respected leader in providing top-notch medical care to the citizens of Oklahoma,” said Dr. Davis. “With the vast team of Mercy physicians, the new electronic medical record, and the hospital-wide mission, Mercy is poised to be a continued leader in providing excellent health care to the people of my home state.”
Born and raised in Edmond, Dr. Davis graduated summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s in biology, from his hometown University of Central Oklahoma. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, then completed his internship in general surgery and residency in urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
Dr. Davis values the trust his patients place in him as they partner in the treatment of sometimes very sensitive health issues.
“There is no other profession that I could envision myself doing,” Dr. Davis said. “It is something that I have wanted to do since I was very young. It is a great mixture of helping people and the science and function of the human body.”
Dr. Davis has coauthored several chapters in urology text books and has worked at numerous free clinics providing cancer screenings and wellness checks.
He is also a music lover who loves to play ‘oldies rock’ bass guitar, particularly The Beatles. But it won’t keep him from his day job.
“My patients and their families come first,” Dr. Davis said. “I treat people the way that I would want my family to be treated during these often difficult times in life.”
The Mercy Urology clinic is located at 4140 West Memorial Road, Suite 518. To schedule an appointment, call 405-749-4230.
