Mercy Edmond Signal Ridge welcomes pediatrician with knack for science and style.
Savannah Stumph, DO – a pediatrician with an eye for design – delivers family-focused medical care as the newest member of the physician team at Mercy Edmond Signal Ridge.
“It is my goal to work with my patients and their families, becoming a trusted advisor, to create the best health outcomes possible,” Dr. Stumph said. “I appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in my patients’ lives, even in the smallest ways.”
A graduate of Oklahoma City’s Putnam City West High School, Dr. Stumph earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Oklahoma State University and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College of Community Medicine in Tulsa.
“Oklahoma City is my hometown and even though I’ve been away for 15 years, the rest of my family is here,” said Dr. Stumph. “We’re glad to be back home.”
A married mom with two young sons, including a four-year-old and an infant born in June, Dr. Stumph seeks beauty in her travels and hobbies.
“My husband and I are hoping to one day visit all of the national parks in the United States and we’ve got a pretty good start,” said Dr. Stumph. “I also enjoy fashion and interior design. If not for my love of medicine, it would have been fun to be a designer.”
Dr. Stumph had designs on doctoring stemming from an early love of science and an undergraduate degree in biology. As president of her osteopathic medicine class, Dr. Stumph performed community outreach through volunteer health fairs – treating children from inner city Tulsa and rural areas in eastern Oklahoma.
“Children are amazing. They are tougher than we think and generally get well so quickly,” Dr. Stumph said. “I think the best part of my job is having the opportunity to watch them grow up and change from visit to visit.”
When it comes to caring for her patients, Dr. Stumph has a simple principle: “Always pay special attention to what parents say – they know their children best.”
