Dr. Trey Cail to join sister Melinda Cail, M.D., at Mercy Clinic Edmond Memorial
If you call Mercy Clinic Edmond Memorial for an appointment with Dr. Cail, make sure you specify which Dr. Cail. After Sept. 1, there’ll be two: Melinda Cail, M.D., and her brother, James T. Cail III, D.O., known to family and friends as “Trey.” Both are family practice physicians.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Trey Cail started out in private practice in Sayre, Okla. before moving to Access Medical Center Urgent Care in Oklahoma City and finally to Mercy Convenient Care in 2010.
“I began my career in family medicine by moving to a small town in western Oklahoma,” Dr. Cail said. “I spent several years in rural medicine; I can’t put a value on the experience I gained and the relationships that were built.”
But having grown up in the shadow of Oklahoma Christian University, where his father worked for 40 years, Edmond was always home to Cail.
“As the years rolled by, Edmond began calling me home,” he said. “My wife and I decided that our family needed to settle where our hearts really were: back home in Edmond.”
The Oklahoma City suburb is also home to his sister, Melinda.
“We love Edmond,” Melinda said, “and we think of Mercy as our family. So Mercy’s Edmond Memorial clinic is the perfect place to practice family medicine.”
For both Cails.
“I am especially pleased to be able to serve in the same Mercy location as my sister,” Trey said. “Of course, she wants to make sure everyone knows she is my younger sister.”
Mercy Clinic Edmond Memorial is located at 1919 E. Memorial Road in Edmond. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Trey Cail, or his sister Melinda, call 405-341-7009.
