John Lindsey of St. Joseph’s Mercy has been named to the Federal Government Affairs Committee of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
Lindsey is the president-elect of the Arkansas Society for Respiratory Care in 2012 and will serve as president in 2013. He has been with St. Joseph’s Mercy since 2003 and was named Director of Respiratory Care in 2008.
Lindsey previously served as president elect in 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2005 and as president in 1996, 1999, 2002 and 2007. He has also held several other positions though the years with the Arkansas Society of Respiratory Care and American Association of Respiratory Care.
Lindsey was named Arkansas Respiratory Therapist of the Year in 2009, winning the award for the sixth time. In addition to his work at St. Joseph’s Mercy, Lindsey also serves as a regional faculty instructor for Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
