Santa and his helpers, members of the Creve Coeur Police Department, brightened the day of patients and families at Mercy Children’s Hospital by delivering gifts and holiday cheer
The Creve Coeur Police Department employees donated money throughout the month of December to purchase gifts for patients at Mercy Children’s Hospital. In addition, during the annual Breakfast with Santa event the officers’ children brought gifts for the kids at the hospital.
Santa joined members of the Creve Coeur Police Department to distribute the gifts to hospitalized patients. The Creve Coeur Elks also donated to the cause. The officers also presented $500 to the West County Ronald McDonald House on the Mercy’s campus. The money was raised during a summer golf tournament held in conjunction with Town & Country Police Department.
Mercy Children’s Hospital is designated by National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) as a “children’s hospital-within-a-hospital,” located on the Mercy Hospital St. Louis campus. Mercy Children’s is one of only 250 children’s hospitals in the U.S. and the only one in St. Louis County.
