Mercy Hospital Washington works with area schools, churches, businesses and other organizations to collect life-saving blood products from generous donors. Donations provide life support for Mercy patients. Upcoming events include:
Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with permission from a parent or legal guardian. They must be at least 110 pounds and in good health. All donors should allow eight weeks between donations. All presenting donors will receive a free T-shirt.
Mercy Blood Donor Services is the only mobile, hospital-based, blood collection center in the state of Missouri. Being mobile means bringing services to peoples’ places of business, worship or school. The service allows the hospital to collect life-saving blood supplies from the community, for the community at a portion of the cost.
For information regarding medical eligibility, or if you would like to host a community blood drive at your school, business, organization or place of worship, call 1-866-37DONOR.
