Scott Street, president of Mercy Northwest Arkansas since March 2010, has been elected to the Arkansas Hospital Association Board of Directors. He will fulfill the unexpired term (October 2013) as At-Large Delegate succeeding Kirk Reamey, who retired last month. A native Arkansan, Street hasn’t taken much time to reconnect with his home state. Street said “I’ve received such a warm reception from the Arkansas community since joining Mercy over two years ago. I’m excited and honored to have been elected to the AHA board and to serve with colleagues from all corners of the state working to improve healthcare delivery across Arkansas.” Street is a former CEO of Duncan (Oklahoma) Regional Hospital, administrator of St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, and served in administrative roles with Baptist Health in Little Rock. He was named the 2009 recipient of the American Hospital Association’s Shirley Ann Munroe Leadership Award, which recognizes the accomplishments of small or rural hospital leaders who have improved healthcare delivery in their communities through innovative and progressive efforts.
