Gene Kirtser, president and CEO of ROi, the health care supply chain company founded by Mercy, has been named one of “Ten People to Watch” in The Journal of Healthcare Contracting’s annual list. Kirtser is among 10 health care supply chain leaders featured in the August 2012 issue. The annual listing is published based on suggestions from readers. The journal is the only publication that is solely devoted to the contracting arena of health care. Kirtser, who joined ROi in 2007 as chief operating officer after 16 years of experience in the health care industry, became president and CEO in 2011. In December 2011, Mercy and ROi were recognized as the No. 2 global supply chain in health care in the Gartner Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25. It was the third year in a row for Mercy and ROi to land in the top three and the only organization to achieve this every year of the ranking.
