OKLAHOMA CITY – Nagib Toubia, M.D., has joined Mercy Clinic Gastroenterology, focusing on gastrointestinal diagnostic testing and care.

“The field of gastroenterology is constantly evolving,” said Toubia. “That’s one of the reasons I chose it as my specialty; because I get to learn new technologies all the time – and I get to help my patients understand how those technologies can impact each prognosis, treatment and outcome.”

Toubia, a native of Lebanon, earned his doctor of medicine from the Saint Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va. Toubia speaks English, French and Arabic fluently.

From biliary and pancreatic disorders to celiac disease, Chrohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, colon cancer and more, Toubia and the team of seven Mercy Clinic Gastroenterology physicians at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and at Mercy Clinic Gastronenterology in Edmond are available to address patients’ digestive issues.
