Mercy Convenient Care South National

announces early morning hours

Effective Tuesday, Sept. 4, Mercy Convenient Care will offer expanded hours for patients seeking non-emergent health care services.

The Mercy Convenient Care at 1624 S. National will open at 7 a.m.  and close at 3 p.m.

Hours at the Mercy Convenient Care hospital main campus location will remain the same: Monday through Friday 3:30 - 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

“We have designed these expanded hours with patient access in mind,” said Annamarie Holmes, Mercy Clinic Director.  “Our early morning hours make it possible to see a provider before work or school.”

Mercy Convenient Care is a quick, cost-effective alternative to the emergency room when symptoms are not life threatening.  Practitioners at convenient care can treat minor injuries and ailments such as sore throats, fevers, flu, sprain, strains, fractures, earaches, mild abdominal pain, lacerations, and drug screens.

“The extended hours may also assist our local business community with access to occupational medicine service,” noted Holmes.  “This maybe especially helpful for pre-employment screenings, Department of Transportation (DOT) Physicals return to work evaluations and other services for employers.”

Both of Mercy’s Convenient Care locations are equipped with electronic medical record so a patient’s medical history, including allergies and current medications, is accessible to the provider.  The feature helps expedites care.
