Mercy Foundation Charity Ball Brings Big Names to Northwest Arkansas

October 21, 2012

Easton Corbin, Billboard 2010 top new artist, will perform at the

Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas Charity Ball

ROGERS, Ark. – He put country music on notice in 2009 with two No. 1 singles, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It.”  Easton Corbin became the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1. Billboard named Easton the Top New Country Artist of 2010 and named "Roll With It" the No. 6 Hot Country Song of the Year. He was ranked No. 9 on Billboard’s list of Top Country Artists-Male, listed between Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw.

The Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group is bringing the former hardware store employee now American country music singer to Northwest Arkansas for a special holiday performance at the 19th Annual Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas Charity Ball. “O’ Night Divine” is set for 6pm, Saturday, December 8th at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.  Corbin’s repeatedly said “I want to get my music to as many people as possible. You’ve got to be good to your fans, and you’ve got to make music that’s true to you.” He will certainly have the opportunity to do just that with an expected 1000+ attendance.

The proceeds from the charity ball go to enhance health care services, support patient education, purchase equipment, fund building projects and fund charity care at Mercy Northwest Arkansas. This past year, the Foundation Board approved funding to help support community wellness and the remodel of the Mercy Breast Center.

“The funds raised each year at this event ensure Mercy is one of the best health care providers in the state,” said Clark Ellison, Mercy Foundation vice president. “We are grateful for the support of the community that makes Charity Ball the successful event it is each year.”

Celebrate Arkansas magazine ranked the 2011 Charity Ball as the best charity event of the year and the Arkansas Hospital Association recognized the fundraiser with its 2011 Diamond Award.

This year’s charity ball promises to live up to its award-winning past. Guests will enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, participate in a live auction filled with exclusive items, enjoy the performance by country artist Easton Corbin and finish off the evening with an over-the-top after party, featuring DJ Kirby from Kansas City.  DJ Kirby has emerged as one of the most entertaining video DJs in the United States, working with top musical acts such as: The Black Eyed Peas, Rob Thomas, Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake.
