Washington, Mo. –Mercy Hospital Washington works with area schools, churches, businesses and other organizations to collect life-saving blood products from generous donors. Donations provide life support for Mercy patients. Upcoming events include the Mercy Co-Worker and Community Blood Drive. The drive will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday, February 25, in Conference Rooms A & B on the 2nd floor of the Mercy Medical Building South, 901 Patients First Drive in Washington.
Walk-ins are welcome. Donors with appointments will be given their scheduled time. To make an appointment, visit https://donateblood.mercy.net or call 1-866-37DONOR. All presenting donors will receive a free T-shirt. Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with permission from a parent or legal guardian. They must be at least 110 pounds and in good health. Mercy Blood Donor Services is the only mobile, hospital-based, blood collection center in the state of Missouri. Being mobile means bringing services to peoples’ places of business, worship or school. The service allows the hospital to collect life-saving blood supplies from the community, for the community at a portion of the cost.
