The St. Pius X High School Lady Lancer basketball team raised more than $3200 at its fifth annual “Think Pink” fundraising game for breast cancer awareness and prevention. The Lancers hosted the Jefferson High School Blue Jays.

The real winners were the uninsured and under-insured women in the Jefferson County region who will receive free mammograms and important health information from Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

Proceeds from the game including T-shirt sales, admission fees, a 50/50 ticket raffle and concession stand sales will help provide free breast cancer screenings for women without insurance or those who cannot afford their deductibles.

This year's donation brings the five-year total for the event to more than $13,000. To find out more about the free breast cancer screenings, call Mercy Jefferson at 636-933-5757.
