Fort Scott, KS — Country music artist Reba McEntire once said, “To succeed in life you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone.”
Although having a sense of humor is important to carry on life’s journey, one can’t discount that a strong backbone has more to do with overall health than most people would assume.
“On a serious note, without treatment, osteoporosis, arthritis and spinal disc degeneration can put your life on standby,” explains Greg King, Mercy Clinic Fort Scott Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner. “If you are suffering from one of these diagnoses, maybe it’s time to stand up to the issue.”
Learn more from King about how a strong spine shapes your health during the “Fortify Your Spine” lecture on Thursday, March 7 in Mercy Hospital McAuley Conference Center.
Take advantage of free health screenings beginning at 5 p.m. The lecture will begin at 5:30 with time for questions following the presentation.
The event is free and open to the public. Other medical providers will be available to answer question too. An RSVP is requested by calling Mercy Marketing department at 620-223-8094.
