Mercy Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator Richard Wheeler has been named Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP) Pharmacist of the Year.
The honor is decided by a nomination committee based on the award recipient’s service to the profession of health-system pharmacy, his contributions to pharmacy programs, his cooperation with the entire health care team and his service to the community.
“This award is our highest and most prestigious award,” said Miki Finnin, president of OSHP. “Richard’s dedication to the advancement of pharmacy and his innovative spirit are a couple of reasons Richard earned this recognition.”
Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ mission is to advance and support the professional practice of pharmacy in health systems by leading, educating, advocating and developing Oklahoma Health-Systems Pharmacists.
